Female MMA sensation Gina Carano hands down stole the show last night in The debut telecast of Elite Xtreme Combat."Carano Defeats Kedzie"

Gina is the next big thing in MMA. Julie Kedzie proved to be a tough opponent but Gina is just destined to become the top female MMA fighter on the planet. Both ladies fought vary hard however Carano was better than she even thought on the ground, she easily was the faster and stronger fighter standing up. This fight had solid action all throughout the 9 minute bout. If all the bouts last night were that exciting then showtime would probably have the highest rated MMA show in history!

In the main event it was Renzo Gracie who got the DQ victory over Frank Shamrock. I disagree with the decision, I personally thought Frank was breaking Renzo down with those thunderous knee strikes to the torso and ribs of Gracie, also he was DQ' d for knee strikes to the back of Renzo's head however both fighters made behind the head contact with forearms and such in the first round and Frank was only warned once about that.

I did not see how Frank was doing it deliberately. he said he was coming to fight and that's exactly what he was doing.

But hey if their is no head contact then there is NO Head Contact! so us fight fans are going to have to wait and see if Renzo will be brave enough to once again step into the ring with the peoples champ Frank Shamrock

My thoughts, Shamrock was winning the fight even when he was on his back, maybe Renzo was KO'd but used the DQ to save face, many fighters have gotten hit behind the head it's part of the game.

At the same time it should always be safety for the fighter first, Renzo was not able to stand on his own for more than five minutes.

Just think about what would of happened if Frank started landing leg and head strikes in the third round, there would have been no way that Renzo could survive that if he was rocked by two those two knees to the back of the head, so maybe it's for the best that the fight was stopped like that.
