13thround: Do you have any thoughts or statements about your recent fight with Clinton woods?

Glen Johnson: Sure, it was a close fight, but just cause you have 3 good rounds during the last five rounds of the fight don’t mean you won, I won the majority of the rounds. Plus the actions of his team, and the bad ruling should be cause for an immediate rematch!
 
13thround: What’s next for Glen Johnson?

Glen Johnson: A Rematch! I enjoy my time off but I want to fight Woods again, it was a bad decision to me and I should be able to have the opportunity
To prove to him he did not deserve the decision.

13thround: In your own opinion, who are the top three fighters in the light heavyweight division?

Glen Johnson: Wow, that’s a real hard question because I don’t know all the fighters that are rank in the top 10, I know that there are 2 Europeans champions, I have heard their names mentioned before but I would not know them if they would walk up to me. There are lots of good fighters in this division, I feel I have been one of the best for years. I'm not done yet, by any means, I can beat all the top guys.

13thround: You have been a pro for over 13 years and have always been a major threat in your division, even back in the day when you went up against Bernard Hopkins. What do you think a rematch with Hopkins would look like today, do you think he could stand up to your power and pace you would bring to him, like he did against Antonio Tarver?

Glen Johnson: No, no way I’am better and stronger, I would defiantly stop him if he would fight me now, that was along time ago, he is a very good fighter don’t get me wrong, but I would put to much pressure on him, I'm not Antonio Tarver.

13thround: If you could make your own “Dream match” who would it be against?

Glen Johnson: Bernard Hopkins, easy question, that’s the one…

13thround: We recently interviewed former Light Heavyweight champ Reggie “Sweet” Johnson
When I asked him who he would like to fight next (on his comeback campaign) he said Glen Johnson, because he is a proven warrior like myself and will probably be ranked #1 or 2 when the new rankings come out, I think the fans want to see the two best “proven ring warriors" in their division go at it to see who is the best? What are your comments about a reggie Johnson, and do you think that fight could happen? 

Glen Johnson: Yes, that would be a fight I would take, for sure if the people behind the scenes make it happen, I know fight fans would love to watch two proven ring warriors and former champions, with similarities between them go at it, it would be a fun fight. I have known of reggie for many years now, when I was coming up back in the day, I would see Reggie fighting televised fights and said to myself I want to fight that guy, we tried to get fights with him but nothing ever happened. Now that my name is out there more, fighters are calling my name, which is great with me. I'm a fighter that’s what I do. I have lots of respect for Reggie he has been in the game a long time, my message to him would be I'm easy to find, I'm right here. We have talked about it but nothing else, have your people step up and lets do this. I would love to do that fight, I would have fun knocking him out.

13thround: Outside of boxing how have you been spending your time?

Glen Johnson: I'm a very normal guy I like to live a peacefully and comfortable life. I like to spend time with my wife and just enjoying the time off.

13thround: After 13 years in the sport are you slowly moving towards other venues other than boxing, does retirement ever come up?

Glen Johnson: Yes, gradually, I still feel like I have a good 12 months left, at least two or three fights, I do not want to leave boxing just yet I want to go out with a bang and as world champion, this is very important to me.

13thround: Any charities or other projects you would like to talk about?

Glen Johnson: When I retire I plan on doing more things of that nature especial in the Miami area, I would love to help in that aspect, me and my wife have talked about that. There are many different avenues we would like to pursue once I retire.

13thround: Do you have any comments for all your loyal fans out here?

Glen Johnson: Of course, I ‘d like to thank my fans they have been very loyal even through the bad times, many people have supported me especially with this latest fight with "Woods" the people know who the real champ is, it’s not over yet….
